1 Contracts creation
To create a contract in Bazaar:
1. You can go directly to “Calls for resources” section (then see step 3). The second way is going to a ‘Resource Policy’ section in the main menu (See a picture below). If you have appropriate privileges you will see the table called “contracts of your RCs”.
2. Select “New contract” from actions available in “Contracts of your RCs” table (See a picture below).

You will be moved to the “Calls for resources” section.
3.You will see a table with published and running calls (See a picture below). You can make a contract proposal only for calls which are open for offers and have available action “propose contract”. Select this action to create a new contract.
4. You will see a call details and a form for contract creation. Fill the form with the proper values and submit it.

Note: You can propose more than one of Top Level BDII and RB/WMS services. Use green plus icon to add more fields and red minus to remove them.
5. The message that contract was created will be displayed. You can see that a new contract appeared in table called “Contracts of your RCs” (See a picture below). A state of your contract is set to proposal and waits for VO’s manager acceptance.
Note: An icon with envelope with green arrow means that a notification about a new contract proposal was send to VO manager, however (s)he doesn’t make a decision so far.
2 Negotiations
You can propose modifications of the contract and change contract state to NEGOTIATION any moment. In order to do it:
1. Select edit next to chosen contract in “Resource Policy” section.
2. The system will move you to a section where you can manage your contract. Click on Change button which is located under contract details.
3. A form with the contract will appear (See a picture below). Make changes in contract and choose NEGOTIATION as current state, then click OK.
Your partner will be notified that you propose changes to contract. Now, you need to wait for your partner decision (Message with green arrow icon will be displayed near negotiated contract).
VO manager can also propose changes to contract and start negotiation process. You will be notified about it via e-mail and message in the system. An envelope symbol will appear near negotiated contract.
1. Click on the envelope or choose ‘view’ action next to appropriate message in “Inbox” section.
2. Offered contract will be displayed (see a picture below). You can accept, reject or propose changes to contract.
a) If you accept changes, a contract will be updated. Your partner will be notified that you accept her/his proposal.
b) If you reject changes, a contract will not be changed. Your partner will be notified that you reject her/his proposal.
c) If you propose another changes,a form, where you can propose your offer will be displayed. When you fill up it, you will need to wait for your partner decision.
3 Verification of RC configuration
When VO manager accept your contract, you need to prepare site machines and finally run VO’s applications.
After you configure site resources, you need to change contract state to CONFIGURED.
1. Select edit next to chosen contract in “Resource Policy” section.
2. The system will move you to a section where you can manage your contract. Click on Change button which is located under contract details.
3. A form with the contract will appear. Change contract current state to CONFIGURED and click OK.
If VO manager agrees that site resources are configured and accepts contract modification, contract state will change to CONFIGURED.
4 Switching to running state
After you run VO’s applications, you need to change contract state to RUNNING.
1. Select edit next to chosen contract in “Resource Policy” section.
2. The system will move you to a section where you can manage your contract. Click on Change button which is located under contract details.
3. A form with the contract will appear. Change contract current state to RUNNING and click OK.
If VO manager agrees that her/his applications are running and accepts contract modification, contract state will change to RUNNING.
RUNNING state means that site is ready to provide services according to contract and VO can start production computation.
5 Closing of the contract
The last state of contract is CLOSED. Both you and VO manager can change cotract state to CLOSED.
CLOSE state means that contract has finished and you don’t plan to support VO project connected with closed contract until a new contract will be created or the current one will be renegotiated.
Note: In order to reopen closed contract, VO manager or RC manager must propose negotiations (NEGOTIATION state) first and then propose change of state to ACCEPTED.
6 Tracking changes
You can also see a whole history of the negotiation process of your contract.
1. Go to a “Resource Policy” section. Choose the contract and select “edit” option available in the column with actions.
2. Below contract details, you will see a history of contract changes (See a picture below).
Note: All columns in this table are sortable - you just need to click on the column name to sort it.
